Emotional Intelligence

This Week

I know I said, no INAB this week, but I’ve got a  couple of things I want to tell you.  First of all, I’m on the recovery side (day 6) of the flu- the kind that  has you lying on the floor rocking back and forth making noises. The fever is now gone, and I feel clean, weak and honest. And grateful. It is such a precious moment that I want to share it with you. You see, for all my self-care and tree hugging, the flu is the first thing to really make me hit neutral in months. And it’s a relief, like my engine’s been revving just a little too hot for a long time- do you know the feeling?

All my work has not gone away- my emails are piling up in the hundreds. I just don’t care. I’m taking care of myself and my family, and it is a gift to know in this moment, I am exactly who I’m supposed to be, doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing.

What I’m inviting you to do, from my rarified space of being in neutral, is create a moment that is just for yourself today, some special way of giving yourself the most loving hug, the most satisfying deep breaths, a cup of tea for the sunset moment.

If you are looking for some new understanding of how you feel, insight into the patterns that are playing out in your life, there is an event coming up which could be a life saver. Your life. I hope you’ll make a moment to consider this gift to yourself.

With love, Becky

An Invitation

Have you noticed that certain emotional patterns play out in your life over and over and over? This is very common, the patterns keep pointing us to where our work is to be done. But many times, it feels like being stuck. Emotional Intelligence is a body of work that gives great understanding to the wisdom and lessons of emotions, and how to move from stuck patterns to creating responses that you choose.

Kim Knight, a New Zealander has taken on a world sized project bringing together 27 thought leaders in the field of emotional intelligence. The event begins in just a few weeks and is a unique opportunity to make some space in your life for the changes you’d like to make. There will be intense amounts of growth available from an event like this, and I invite you to pick and choose the speakers that attract you. To have them presenting together in one space for one event, this will never happen again.

Kim is incredibly generous, offering free participation options, and  the most enticing and rich paid options I have seen. She has stretched herself and every presenter to offer the best of themselves to offer you mountains of value.

Please don’t miss this event because you are “too busy”, “don’t have time”, or just didn’t STOP for a moment to consider how to get the goodness here for you. You will always be “too busy”, until you make a decision to change how you are living.

Below are some of the topics (and possibilities) offered by the Emotional Intelligence Telesummit, September 3 to 18, 2012.

  •     Create optimal relationships in all areas of your life
  •     Find, follow and experience your dream career
  •     Discover radiant health and prevent illness
  •     Overcome financial limitations and debt
  •     Discover and follow your Soul purpose
  •     Connect authentically heart to heart with your partner
  •     Enhance business strategies and success
  •     Heal chronic illnesses deemed incurable
  •     Connect within to follow your highest guidance
  •     Assist safe and positive evolution of the planet

I am presenting on the topic of “natural intelligence” which is developing a relationship with the natural world to accelerate emotional intelligence. This is a topic I teach, and I believe in with every cell of my body. You can learn to access mountains and oceans of wisdom, and you don’t need a wilderness to do it. When I was sick with the flu this week, I used my relationship with the environment to support the process. I had everything I needed. Helena, our 8 year old who also had the flu alongside me, said “Thank you for believing, Mum.” In other words, thank you for believing she would get better when it felt like she would not.

These are skills that you can have too. And I would be honoured to share them with you. Below is a video invitation that I made for the attendees of this event (the day before I got the flu, little did I know!)  It is posted on the Summit page. There will be thousands of people involved, and I hope you will be there too.

“Accept yourself as you are. Otherwise you will never see opportunity. You will not feel free to move toward it; you will feel you are not deserving.” Maxwell Maltz

It would be great if you shared this sunshine.
